The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting in the Ukrainian Parliament with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Alle Dorhout.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked the Netherlands for its consistent support for Ukraine in the areas of defence, recovery and reform. He noted that the Kingdom's contribution to strengthening our country's defence capabilities has already exceeded €9 billion.
«We highly appreciate that The Hague was the first to contribute to the PURL mechanism for the purchase of weapons and signed a memorandum on joint production of drones,» Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received assurances that regardless of the results of the parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, support for Ukraine would remain unchanged. The parties confirmed their shared vision: a just and lasting peace is only possible without any territorial concessions to the aggressor.
«russia shows no willingness to end the war, so pressure on it must continue, and Ukraine must receive effective security guarantees. Ukraine's full membership in NATO remains our strategic priority,» Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
During the meeting, they also discussed joint priorities for the coming year, in particular, concrete steps to achieve a just peace, strengthening sanctions pressure and control over dual-use goods.
