The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, took part in the annual YES conference in Kyiv
The annual YES conference is an important platform for dialogue between Ukraine and its international partners. During the panel discussion on ‘Reforms, Corruption and Euro-Atlantic Integration,’ Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised that even during wartime, Ukraine continues to adopt necessary legislative changes.
«It is these changes that open the way to the EU and NATO. The Verkhovna Rada has fulfilled all the requirements for the start of negotiations and is working on new decisions — from digitalisation and transparent regulation to the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy,» the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed.
According to the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, European integration for Ukraine is not a slogan, but a strategic choice. «We have already prepared for the opening of the first negotiation cluster, “Fundamentals of the EU Accession Process”, and submitted position papers on all areas,» he said.
The head of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed that Ukrainians have proven their ability to accomplish the most difficult tasks. «We will continue to do so together with our European partners in order to bring about a just peace and ensure Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO,» Ruslan Stefanchuk concluded.
