The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada discussed the peace process and the importance of joint pressure on the aggressor with Romanian parliamentarians

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with a delegation of the Romanian Parliament.

Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked his colleagues for their visit on the eve of the 34th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence and for their consistent support of our country in the fight against russian aggression.

He stressed that peace for Ukraine must be just and lasting - without any concessions to Ukrainian territories.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also stressed the importance of recognising the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people, as well as the need to ensure the right of Ukrainian children in Romania to study in their native language.

The key topics of the meeting included cooperation within the International Crimean Platform, preparations for the parliamentary summit in Stockholm, and the development of dialogue in the Ukraine-Romania-Moldova format.

"I look forward to the continued active role of Romanian MPs in supporting Ukraine in the international arena," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
