The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with the United for Ukraine delegation

On Ukraine's Independence Day, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk met with a large delegation from the global network of parliamentarians United for Ukraine (U4U) in Kyiv.

Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked his colleagues for their unwavering support for Ukraine during the most difficult times of the fight against russian aggression.

The parties discussed the situation on the front lines and the key needs of Ukrainian defence — from air defence and missile systems to drones and ammunition. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasised that russia terrorises peaceful Ukrainian cities on a daily basis, and the best response to this terror is to increase the supply of weapons and anti-missile systems.

Special attention was paid to Ukraine's participation in the new European SAFE instrument, which opens up opportunities for joint defence projects — drones, artillery ammunition and missile weapons. Ukraine is ready to share its unique combat experience and defence innovations and to expand cooperation with the European defence industry.

During the meeting, the issue of Euro-Atlantic integration was also discussed. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasised that Ukraine's membership in NATO is the best guarantee of security for both our state and the entire European continent.

Ruslan Stefanchuk also emphasised the importance of strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia, particularly in the energy, metallurgy and nuclear industries. "I would like to thank the U4U parliamentarians for their solidarity and active stance. This is a clear signal: parliamentary diplomacy is a powerful weapon in the fight against aggression. Together we are stronger — and together we will bring about a just peace," said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
