Yulia Svyrydenko holds talks with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal

Yulia Svyrydenko congratulated Estonian partners on Independence Restoration Day, celebrated today in the friendly nation.

The key topic of the discussions was Ukraine’s European integration.

“We are technically ready to open the first three negotiation clusters and rely on Estonia’s support to ensure Ukraine and Moldova move forward together on this path,” noted the Prime Minister.

The parties also discussed defence cooperation. The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked Estonia for its strategic decision to allocate 0.3% of its GDP to support Ukraine and for its willingness to pursue joint projects.

A significant aspect was the timely provision of EUR 100 million in aid through products from Estonian manufacturers. The potential for expanding joint procurement, particularly via the SAFE mechanism, was also highlighted.

The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Estonia agreed to meet in person at the earliest opportunity.
