Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a telephone conversation with Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Szymon Hołownia agreed to further coordinate actions between the parliaments of Ukraine and Poland.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted Poland's unwavering and principled position and stressed that the support of the Polish state would remain stable and continue.
The parties are united in their belief that nothing about Ukraine is possible without Ukraine, and nothing about Europe is possible without Europe. «A free Ukraine is a stable Europe. It is Ukrainians who should decide the future of Ukraine, and Europeans who should determine what security in Europe should be like. Ceasefire - and only then negotiations,» said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
Ruslan Stefanchuk called for no reduction in military and financial assistance to Ukraine, to maintain unity and to increase sanctions pressure on russia.
He thanked Poland for its continued support and leadership. The parties agreed to continue close coordination between the parliaments of the two countries.
