The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Norwegian Storting, Masud Gharahkhani
During the talks, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, emphasised a key principle: no decisions regarding Ukraine can be made without our participation. According to him, any agreements without Ukraine's presence will only encourage russia to take new aggressive actions.
«We clearly state that the issue of preserving the territorial integrity of our state is inviolable. No decisions about Ukraine can be made without Ukraine,» Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised.
He recalled that Ukraine is ready for negotiations, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated and demonstrated in Istanbul. At the same time, kremlin is acting in the opposite manner, both on the front lines and at the diplomatic level, continuing its attacks on the Defence Forces and peaceful cities.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted that Norwegian partners are closely monitoring the development of the negotiation process and firmly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He called for no reduction in military and financial assistance until decisions are made that are in Ukraine's interests, as well as for increased sanctions pressure on the aggressor.
