The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada discussed support for Ukraine with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held talks with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Claude Wiseler.
The parties confirmed their common position: only the Ukrainian people have the right to decide the future of their state.
«We have demonstrated that parliamentary diplomacy can bring real results — it creates channels for dialogue, forms a common position among allies and strengthens the influence of the democratic world at the negotiating table,» Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised.
During the conversation, they agreed to intensify the work of interparliamentary friendship groups united around support for Ukraine and to ensure that Europe's position is clearly represented in any format of negotiations.
They also agreed to coordinate efforts to maintain the full amount of military and financial assistance to Ukraine until decisions are made that are in Ukraine's interests, to support the principle of inviolability of borders and respect for sovereignty, to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor, and to promote Ukraine's integration into the European Union.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada thanked Claude Wiseler and the people of Luxembourg for their solidarity, consistent support and active position at the most critical moment for our state.
