Denys Shmyhal met with U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg

On 16 July, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with U.S.ith U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg in Kyiv.

The parties discussed a number of important issues, including arms supplies, strengthening sanctions pressure and bringing peace to Ukraine.

"I thanked President Donald Trump for his decision to sell critical weapons to NATO countries for Ukraine, including Patriot systems and missiles. This will help save many lives," said Denys Shmyhal.

He noted that Ukraine is committed to further deepening defence cooperation with the United States of America, especially in the area of air defence. In addition, the Prime Minister emphasised Ukraine's interest in developing joint production with the United States and further cooperation in the procurement of defence weapons together with Europe.

Another topic of the meeting was the importance of strengthening sanctions against russia.

"We must deal a truly painful blow to the russian economy. We are counting on the leadership of the United States in further achieving a sustainable and just peace," said Denys Shmyhal and thanked General Keith Kellogg for his personal contribution and facilitation of the negotiation process.
