Denys Shmyhal took part in the festivities dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal took part in the events dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the lead. The celebrations featured President of Poland Andrzej Duda, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, representatives of the diplomatic corps, government officials, and heads of military agencies.

"Today, we are marking Constitution Day of Ukraine – the Constitution of our state, our nation. The first word of its first article is “Ukraine. And this reflects our ultimate goal, our mission. Ukraine is – and will be – on earth. Ukrainians are – and will be – on earth. This is both our goal and our shared duty. It is the mission of everyone for whom Ukraine truly comes first – of those who cannot imagine their lives without Ukraine, and without whom Ukraine can no longer be imagined," the Head of State said.

During the ceremony, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards to the military and civilians who protect and strengthen Ukrainian statehood.

"The Constitution Day is a reminder that freedom, dignity and the right to live in our native State under our national laws are not an abstraction, but the foundation of our struggle. Ukraine is an independent, democratic, law-based State. And this is what we are defending today on the battlefield, in international institutions and with our daily work," emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
