Ukraine and Finland boost cooperation: a number of bilateral documents signed in Kyiv
A number of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries were inked during a meeting between Prime Ministers of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and of the Republic of Finland Petteri Orpo.
Following the bilateral talks, the two Prime Ministers adopted a Joint Statement outlining the areas of economic cooperation, implementation of joint projects in the defense and reconstruction sectors, development of the defense industry, and information exchange.
As was emphasized by Denys Shmyhal, the Joint Statement also states that Finland supports Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, including its approach to full membership in the EU and NATO.
A Memorandum of Cooperation in the Energy Sector was also signed, aimed at joining efforts to create a sustainable, secure, decentralized, and environmentally friendly energy system in Ukraine.
Today, an agreement was signed on the implementation of the “Learning2gether2” program, which aims to improve academic specialized secondary education in the framework of the NUS reform for students in grades 10-12.
According to the Head of the Ukrainian Government, this program will provide educators with the necessary support to develop their professional skills and knowledge. Educational institutions will receive assistance in creating educational programs in accordance with the selected profiles. In addition, social initiatives will be implemented to support teachers, administrative staff, and pupils as well.
