Prime Minister meets with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann in Paris

On 3 June in Paris, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann to discuss strengthening cooperation.

“We are continuing our efforts towards full membership in the Organisation. Over the past two years, we have launched 23 initiatives together with the OECD. Additionally, Ukraine has acceded to eight legal instruments,” Denys Shmyhal noted.

He also highlighted that the OECD’s Economic Survey of Ukraine and the report on integrity and anti-corruption policy confirmed the positive changes achieved through government reforms.

“These documents will send a positive signal to foreign companies to enter the Ukrainian market and invest in our country’s reconstruction,” the Head of the Ukrainian Government stated.

The Prime Minister emphasised that Ukraine counted on continued expert support from the OECD to facilitate economic recovery and ensure macroeconomic stability.
