Prime Minister joins EU officials and diplomats to pay tribute to fallen Ukrainian defenders
On 9 May, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in a ceremony to honour the defenders killed in the russian-Ukrainian war.
The ceremony, held in Lviv at Marsove Pole, was attended by the Head of Government alongside the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, foreign ministers of EU countries, European Commissioners, and diplomats.
“Ukraine and Europe are forever indebted to those who gave their lives for peace and security across the continent. Eternal glory to the Heroes!” said Denys Shmyhal.
He expressed gratitude to foreign partners for their solidarity with Ukraine.
“We feel and deeply value your unwavering support for the Ukrainian people,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
