Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed further support for Ukraine with the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Andreas Norlén discussing key aspects of Ukrainian-Swedish cooperation.
“I have expressed my gratitude to Sweden for the largest 18th package of defence assistance to Ukraine worth USD 1.23 billion, which significantly enhances our capabilities on the battlefield,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Humanitarian and civilian assistance was an important topic of conversation. “Special thanks for the USD 138 million of civilian support aimed at restoring energy infrastructure, housing, medicine, demining, education and assistance to veterans,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada underscored.
The parties also discussed energy support. According to Ruslan Stefanchuk, Sweden is one of the five largest donors of energy assistance to Ukraine and leads the world in terms of the amount of energy equipment supplied.
“Sweden not only consistently supports Ukraine, but also demonstrates the unity of all parliamentary parties in helping our country. I am grateful to Sweden for its powerful solidarity! I hope that this unwavering support will continue in the future,” said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
