The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with U.S. Assistant to the President Keith Kellogg in the Ukrainian Parliament
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met in the Ukrainian Parliament with Assistant to the President of the United States, Special Envoy for Ukraine and russia General Keith Kellogg.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to stopping russian aggression and achieving a just and lasting peace. Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed that Ukraine is a victim of aggression and russia is an aggressor, which is key in shaping international policy and making responsible decisions.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine briefed Keith Kellogg on the activities of the Parliament during the war. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has not stopped working since the full-scale invasion, adopting critical decisions to strengthen the country's defence capabilities, ensure political unity and maintain social stability.
“We did not start this war, but we are ready for its fair end. Ukraine is the victim of aggression, and russia is the aggressor. It is important to remember this for a comprehensive understanding of the situation and responsible decision-making,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
He also stressed that the support of the United States remains extremely important for Ukraine, especially in this crucial period. The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament expressed his belief that the United States and President Donald Trump personally will continue to play a leading role in defending democratic values.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, thanked General Kellogg for his dedication to the common cause and wished him success in his mission.
