Denys Shmyhal discusses threats posed by russia and intensifying sanctions with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation
On 13 February, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with a delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly led by its President Pia Kauma.
Among the topical issues raised was the risks and threats posed by russia to the security of the whole of Europe.
The Head of the Ukrainian Government stressed the importance of intensifying sanctions to weaken the aggressor and called for strengthening efforts to combat russia's "shadow fleet". "European countries are aware of the danger it poses in the region," said Denys Shmyhal.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed Ukraine's integration into the EU as well as cooperation in the security, and defence sector.
"This will significantly reinforce Europe and benefit all allies," the Prime Minister stressed and thanked the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
