The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will join the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan
As was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Parliament will participate in the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan. This was ensured by the Chairman in his speech, which following President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address to the Ukrainian people.
This Victory Plan, which consists of five key points and three confidential annexes.
The first point of the Plan is geopolitical in nature and envisions Ukraine's invitation to join NATO. The second and third points are military and include measures to strengthen the country's defense capabilities. The fourth point addresses economic issues, while the fifth focuses on security matters, aimed at the post-war period.
The Victory Plan calls on international partners to support Ukraine, as the success of its implementation depends on the determination of allies. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that Ukraine seeks an honest and just peace, not a "freezing" of the war or territorial concessions. "Ukraine strives for victory!" he underscored.
Following the President's address, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada held a briefing for journalists, during which he announced that a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leaders of parliamentary factions and groups had taken place within the walls of Parliament. At the meeting, the participants discussed ways to work together to implement the Victory Plan.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that the heads of all factions and groups unanimously supported the President's Victory Plan. "It is extremely important to me that the Ukrainian Parliament unanimously backed the Victory Plan and is ready to participate in its implementation. Together, we must convince our partners to support our strategy!" he emphasized.
The Chairman stressed that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will actively engage in legislative efforts to implement the Victory Plan. "Inter-factional working groups will be established to develop legislative initiatives for each point of the Plan. Representatives of the President's Office and the Government will also be involved in this work. In other words, all entities with legislative initiative will participate. We will define the list, the substantive content, and the priority of the draft laws in the parliamentary session," explained the Chairman of the Parliament of Ukraine.
In conclusion, Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed his gratitude to the members of Parliament for their unity on issues concerning the future of the state and victory. He also assured that all parliamentary functions will be directed towards uniting society and implementing the provisions of the Victory Plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
