Denys Shmyhal met with team of the French National Assembly

On 13 September, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with representatives of the French National Assembly and the President of the Together for the Republic Group Gabriel Attal.

Denys Shmyhal thanked for the unwavering support provided to Ukraine by the French government under the leadership of Gabriel Attal.

The main topic of the conversation was weapons for Ukraine. The Prime Minister noted that France had been among the first countries to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles.

"We need more of them. We also expect to be allowed to use them to strike at military targets in russia," Denys Shmyhal stressed.

The parties also discussed the situation in the energy sector. The Head of the Ukrainian Government spoke about our urgent needs and preparations for the challenging heating season.

In this context, the participants of the meeting touched upon the restoration of our country. Denys Shmyhal thanked France for a EUR 200 million grant to restore critical infrastructure. Part of these funds will also be directed to the energy sector.

"We also look forward to the active development of cooperation between French and Ukrainian businesses and our regions," the Prime Minister said.

Denys Shmyhal also stressed that russia should pay for the losses. The issue of Ukraine receiving USD 50 billion in profits from frozen russian assets was also raised.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked France for its assistance on our European integration path. He also thanked for the continued support by the French President and the people in al the spheres.
