Denys Shmyhal met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma

On 6 September, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma, Acting U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery, in Kyiv.

Denys Shmyhal told about russia's missile attacks against our country's energy infrastructure and the Ukrainian Government's projects to protect and restore energy.

"We are not only restoring and protecting our energy facilities, but are also actively working to develop decentralised generation. We are grateful to the United States for its support in this direction," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Head of the Ukrainian Government also stressed the importance of promptly transferring USD 50 billion from the proceeds of frozen russian assets to Ukraine. According to Denys Shmyhal, the relevant mechanism is being actively worked out with our international partners.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of leading American private companies who confirmed their readiness for long-term investments in Ukraine.
The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked the President of the United States, the Congress and the American people for the significant support for our country.
