The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the President of the National Assembly of France Yaël Braun-Pivet
First of all, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk congratulated the President of the National Assembly of France Yaël Braun-Pivet on her re-election. “I am glad to meet a true friend and ally of Ukraine. I am convinced that the cooperation between our parliaments will be just as productive and effective,” he said.
The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked his colleague for the comprehensive assistance and support provided by France to Ukraine.
The parties discussed a number of important issues, including European integration and the adoption of necessary legislative changes in Ukraine, as well as Ukraine's path to NATO.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the continuation of defence support for Ukraine in the face of constant terror by russia. Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed the importance of providing Ukraine with additional air defence systems and missiles. In addition, he stressed the need to lift all restrictions on the use of the weapons provided to Ukraine by our partners and to obtain the ability to strike at military targets in russia.
Separately, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed the need to continue sanctions pressure on russia. “The enemy manages to circumvent the restrictions, and we must make it impossible to avoid the sanctions,” Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
