Next year we want to start negotiations on Ukraine’s accession in all areas
Ukraine has good results in its European integration and wants to be technically ready to join the European Union as soon as possible. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal spoke about Ukraine’s European integration goals and plans at the forum “Ukraine 2024. Independence”.
“In the first half of next year, during Poland’s presidency of the EU Council, we have an ambition to open all chapters of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession,” the Head of Ukrainian Government said.
According to him, Ukraine is working in all directions in the negotiations on accession to the EU. Currently, the Ukrainian legislation is being screened for compliance with the European one.
“We want to be technically ready to join the European Union as soon as possible. We have a team, we have negotiation plans, we have the institutional capacity and support of our partners to do it all quickly,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister thanked the President of Ukraine, the Parliament and government officials “for the incredible results on the European integration path of our country.”
