Denys Shmyhal holds online conversation with the newly appointed Prime Minister of Estonia
The new Estonian Government will continue to fully support Ukraine, in particular on its path to EU and NATO membership. This was discussed during an online conversation between Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the newly appointed Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal.
Denys Shmyhal wished the new Estonian Government success in its work and thanked for the strong military, humanitarian and energy assistance provided since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion.
“This is very important for us as we prepare for the new heating season,” the Head of Ukrainian Government noted, informing his counterpart of the constant russian shelling, energy terror and the need for recovery.
The Prime Ministers also discussed sanctions policy against the aggressor. Denys Shmyhal called on Estonia to support the indefinite freezing of russian assets in the European Union until russia compensates Ukraine for the damage it has caused.
“We appreciate Estonia’s support for the Ukrainian President’s Peace Formula. We look forward to continuing close cooperation between our governments,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
