Denys Shmyhal met with Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon
On the Day of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon.
The parties discussed humanitarian projects and assistance to Ukrainians. The Prime Minister thanked the Metropolitan for his visit to Kyiv and the support of Patriarch Bartholomew.
“His personal participation in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland is a crucial contribution to the process of restoring peace in our country,” the Prime Minister said.
Denys Shmyhal noted that the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s efforts and prayers for Ukraine inspire millions of Ukrainians and give us faith that in the foreseeable future we will see a just end to the war unleashed by russia against Ukraine.
