Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Carlo Formosa

 

 

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Carlo Formosa.

Yevhen Perebyinis congratulated the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission and thanked for Italy's comprehensive assistance to Ukraine amid Russia's full-scale aggression.

Carlo Formosa reaffirmed his country's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in its struggle to restore its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The parties also discussed in detail further steps to strengthen air defense systems and accelerate the supply of weapons and military equipment for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to Italy's participation in the implementation of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In this context, Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude for the participation of President of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.

The interlocutors welcomed the start of EU accession negotiations with Ukraine. During the meeting, the parties coordinated further steps to cooperate in the context of the Italian G7 Presidency, as well as in the framework of Italy's participation in the recovery of Ukraine.

Yevhen Perebyinis wished Carlo Formosa success in his work as Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine expressing confidence that this work would contribute to consolidation and deepening of Ukrainian-Italian bilateral relations.
