Our partners provide new systems, radars, missiles to help us defend our skies and our cities
During the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin the agreements worth almost EUR 260 million have been signed for the reconstruction of destroyed housing, Denys Shmyhal told during the CMU session.
“We continue to attract funding from our partners to rebuild Ukrainians' homes. An agreement for EUR 100 million was signed with the Council of Europe Development Bank to continue the Government's eVidnovlennia programme,” the Head of Government emphasized.
Besides, over EUR 185 million has been allocated for the restoration and development of healthcare. An agreement was signed between Ukraine and the Council of Europe Development Bank for EUR 100 million. We also signed a deal with the EIB for EUR 100 million to modernise social services and rebuild critical infrastructure.
Another component is the security and strengthening of air defence of Ukraine. Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Estonia and our other allies are providing new systems, radars, missiles to help us defend our skies, our cities and everything we are currently restoring together, Denys Shmyhal told.
“Ukroboronprom and Rheinmetall opened the first armoured vehicle repair shop in Ukraine. The next step is to repair tanks in Ukraine. And the localisation of Lynx armoured vehicles production,” noted the Prime Minister.
Denys Shmyhal thanked Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the German government for their strong organisation and support. He also expressed the words of gratitude to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his personal leadership during the conference and to the entire Ukrainian delegation for their hard work.
