Parliament will use all possible international platforms to raise important issues for our country
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko joined the presentation and discussion of the Communication Strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: Ukraine — Latin America and the Caribbean (CELAC) for 2024-2026.
In particular, the First Vice-Speaker took part in the panel discussion, during which the participants touched upon the topic of new horizons for our country in the CELAC and the vision of strategic communications of the future.
Oleksandr Korniienko noted that the Parliament is constantly expanding the political inter-parliamentary track. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has created an inter-party platform with representatives of all factions and groups, which will practically engage in diplomacy in the international dimension.
"The Ukrainian Parliament will use all possible international platforms to raise important issues for our country," said the First Vice Speaker.
He also noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he has personally joined the powerful Ukrainian delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which unites 180 parliaments around the world. According to him, within this platform, Ukrainian parliamentarians are trying to meet with as many colleagues as possible.
"It is important to understand how Ukraine can be interesting and in what areas it is needed for the countries of the Gulf of Mexico. We remain the guarantor of food security and, despite the war, continue to export huge volumes of food. At the same time, we have to realise that Ukraine is a future EU member, and cooperation with Europe is important for these countries. We have also already made achievements in digitalisation and military-tech, which can also be the subject of further development of relations," Oleksandr Korniienko concluded.
The discussion was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic corps of Ukraine, Latin American countries, civil society activists, experts, journalists, and public leaders in the field of international politics and communications.
