Azerbaijan will take part in the International Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine in Berlin
The Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk held a working meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku.
In response to the appeal of the Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk to the Azerbaijani side, the Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov confirmed that the Republic of Azerbaijan will take an active part in the international conference on the restoration of Ukraine to be held in Berlin in June this year.
On behalf of Ukraine, the Vice Speaker also invited Azerbaijan to participate in the Peace Summit in Switzerland.
"We hope that you will join one or more points of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. For example, in the issues of energy security or demining," said Olena Kondratiuk.
In addition, she raised the important and painful topic of the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by russia: "We hope that friendly Azerbaijan will consider joining the International Coalition for their return."
The parties also noted the success in developing interparliamentary cooperation between the countries both at the level of parliamentary leadership and at the level of friendship groups.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan assured that the strategic partnership between two countries has been and remains unchanged. According to him, the Azerbaijani people, like no other, empathize with the Ukrainian people.
"The Republic of Azerbaijan has been providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the first days after February 24 and will continue to do so," said Jeyhun Bayramov.
