First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha accepted copies of credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to Ukraine Paul Lehmann.

Andrii Sybiha congratulated the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission and thanked him for Australia's comprehensive assistance to Ukraine, as well as the sanctions pressure on the aggressor state.

The First Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude for Australia's recent decision to join the Drone Coalition, as well as the two-year extension of the tariff-free regime for products manufactured in Ukraine (until July 3, 2026).

The parties discussed Australia's further support for Ukraine, including the urgent need for air defense systems, weapons, ammunition and armored vehicles.

The importance of Australia's participation in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland was emphasized.

The interlocutors also discussed a number of issues of the bilateral agenda, in particular in the context of deepening political and security dialogue and trade and economic cooperation.

Ambassador Paul Lehmann expressed his support for the Ukrainian people and reaffirmed Australia's intention to continue to provide comprehensive assistance to Ukraine amid the full-scale Russian aggression.
