The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the Vice-Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Paulius Saudargas

First of all, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian Parliament for all the resolutions and statements in support of Ukraine, as well as for the comprehensive assistance of friendly Lithuania in all priority areas for our country.

“Lithuania's military and technical assistance has been and remains extremely important for Ukraine. It is important that Lithuania has joined the initiatives, in particular those of the Czech Republic, to purchase artillery shells outside the EU,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The parties also discussed in detail the cooperation of defence companies of Ukraine and Lithuania in the joint production of weapons and ammunition in Ukraine. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also thanked for the decisions of the Seimas that will allow the purchase and transfer of even more drones to Ukraine in the future.

“The defence support of our allies is critically important now, namely the timely and unimpeded supply of all types of weapons and ammunition by our allies,” the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine stressed.

Finally, the parties discussed Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
