Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the heads of committees of the European Parliament

On March 26, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the delegation of Heads of Committees of the European Parliament, led by the Chairman of the Conference of Committee Chairs, Bernd Lange, and the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, David McAllister.

Before the start of the meeting, Yevhen Perebiynys and the heads of the committees of the European Parliament jointly honored the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who died defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of substantive issues related to the opening of the negotiation process with regard to Ukraine's accession to the EU.

The Deputy Minister informed interlocutors on the implementation by Ukraine of all four recommendations of the European Commission outlined in its report on Ukraine within the framework of the 2023 Enlargement Package, which is a prerequisite for the approval of the negotiation framework and the practical start of the negotiation process on Ukraine's acquisition of EU membership.

Special attention was paid to the foreign policy initiatives of Ukraine, in particular the implementation of the provisions of President Zelensky's Peace Formula.

The visit of the delegation of the Heads of the Committees of the European Parliament became yet another gesture of solidarity and constant support of Ukraine by the European Parliament against the background of the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.
