The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a working meeting with the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Szymon Hołownia

First of all, the parties discussed the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border and the role of parliaments in this issue.

“Ukraine is largely dependent on supplies by road and rail,” stressed the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, noting that blocking the border in times of war is a bad signal and a completely counterproductive decision.

“It is extremely important that this problem is resolved as soon as possible. Ukraine is open to a professional dialogue to address all the concerns of Polish farmers or carriers,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

At the same time, he said that it is necessary to jointly protect good neighbourliness and friendship. “Ukraine is grateful to Poland for its significant contribution to countering russian aggression and consolidating the international community in helping our country,” the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine said. Ruslan Stefanchuk also thanked the Polish partners for their continued support of Ukraine's progress towards EU and NATO membership.

In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that the Security and Defence Forces need continuous supplies of weapons.

Finally, the parties discussed the implementation of the President Zelenskyi's Peace Formula.
