The Vice Speaker Olena Kondratiuk discussed support for Ukraine's accession to the EU with the new leadership of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland

During her working visit to Poland, the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk met with the Vice-Speakers of the Polish Sejm Dorota Niedziela and Monika Wielichowska.

She stressed that this was the first meeting with Polish parliamentarians after the election of the new Government of the Republic headed by the Prime Minister Donald Tusk.  

In particular, Olena Kondratiuk emphasised that it is very important that this event takes place in the crucial days for Ukraine, as the EU accession negotiations are about to begin.

During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon a number of issues important for Ukraine, such as support for Ukraine's accession to the EU, humanitarian aid, and coordination of actions to inform about the return of Ukrainian children abducted by russia.

"I am confident in our mutual respect and fruitful cooperation at the parliamentary level and in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine-Poland, which I chair from the Verkhovna Rada! I wished my colleagues success in their parliamentary work! We already have a work plan!" said the Vice Speaker Olena Kondratiuk after the meeting.
