The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine met with Chairmen of the U.S. House of Representatives Committees on Foreign Affairs Mike McCaul, on Intelligence Mike Turner and on Armed Services Mike Rogers

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak and Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to everyone for their leadership in supporting Ukraine: "To a large extent, your activities are the engine of supplying Ukraine with modern and effective weapons."

In this context, Ruslan Stefanchuk once again emphasised the importance of financing additional expenditures to help Ukraine in the amount of more than $61 billion. He noted that this would be a powerful signal to the defenders of Ukraine who are fighting against the russian aggressor.

The parties discussed the situation at the frontline and the defence needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the need to strengthen air defence, increase the supply of long-range missiles, artillery shells, tanks and armoured vehicles, as well as the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.

"Ukraine not only appreciates the assistance provided by the United States, but also bears responsibility for its use and appropriate reporting. And Ukraine highly appreciates the trust of its partners and allies," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.

"We appreciate that both US parties – Republican and Democratic – are united in their support for Ukraine. Bipartisan support is our core value, and we look forward to maintaining it," said Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
