The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held meetings and negotiations with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg

"Integration into the European Union and NATO are not just the main directions of Ukraine's movement, but also guarantees of its security, development and well-being of citizens," said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during his second visit to Brussels in the last week.

After meetings on 28 November with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and leaders of the European Parliament's parliamentary factions who supported the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union, on 4 December Ruslan Stefanchuk held separate meetings and talks with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"Ukraine is high on the agenda of European and Euro-Atlantic institutions, the dynamics of our progress towards the EU and NATO is unprecedentedly high," the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament said following the meetings in Brussels.

Systematic and dynamic legislative work is underway to implement the high standards of the European Union and NATO. In addition to the laws already adopted, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will soon vote on important acts on NABU, asset declarations and national minorities.

"Our dialogue with our partners has once again shown that support for Ukraine in its fight against russian aggression will remain unwavering. It is also important for us that our partners recognise our successes, which are being achieved even in these difficult conditions. And we are ready to maintain this positive momentum," added Ruslan Stefanchuk.

According to him, the process and stages of Ukraine's integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic space, the provision of security guarantees, the implementation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi's Peace Formula, and the needs related to the reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed by the aggressor were discussed in detail with the EU and NATO leaders.
