Prime Minister of Ukraine meets with President of Latvia

On 25 November, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with President of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs in Kyiv.

The parties discussed the implementation of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and support for our European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Denys Shmyhal stressed that Latvia's experience in this regard would be important for Ukraine.

"We greatly appreciate the assistance provided by our Latvian friends to our country. Latvia is one of the three largest donors of military aid to Ukraine in terms of the percentage of national GDP," the Prime Minister said.

The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked his Latvian colleagues for their assistance in the reconstruction, particularly in Chernihiv region. He stressed that frozen russian assets should become the main resource for Ukraine's reconstruction. To this end, Ukraine, together with its partners, continues to work on an international compensation mechanism.
