Denys Shmyhal met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier
During his working visit to Berlin on 24 October, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The Head of Ukrainian Government noted that Germany was one of the leading countries in Europe in terms of support for Ukraine in various areas, including the supply of arms.
“We count on continued support in defending Ukrainian skies to protect as many people as possible from russian terror. We are grateful to Germany for preparing a EUR 1.4 billion winter aid package announced by Chancellor Olaf Scholz,” Denys Shmyhal said.
The parties also discussed the joint development of the defence industry and the implementation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace formula.
