The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Igor Grosu
The parties discussed a number of important issues, including integration into the European Union and the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine noted that European integration is a common goal of Moldova and Ukraine.
"Ukraine is actively moving towards completing the implementation of the European Commission's recommendations. We are expecting the final positive recommendation of the European Commission in October," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
At the same time, Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that he appreciates Moldova's support for the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He also expressed hope for the country's active participation in the implementation of specific points of the initiative.
In conclusion, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine thanked the Republic of Moldova for its political and diplomatic support, humanitarian assistance and shelter for Ukrainians.
In the framework of the meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk presented the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova with the state award of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy — the Order of Grand Prince Yaroslav the Wise, II degree — for "a significant personal contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation, supporting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and popularizing the Ukrainian state in the world."
