The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the President of the Senate of the Italian Republic Ignazio La Russa
The parties discussed further defense support for Ukraine, the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
"Ukraine is grateful to Italy for its constant support of our country since the first days of russian aggression, especially for the military and technical assistance packages provided," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
At the same time, Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked Italy for the training of our military and expressed hope for the continuation of these programs.
"Acceleration of our victory is possible only if Ukraine receives continuous and timely supply of weapons," said the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine.
In addition, Ruslan Stefanchuk asked to support the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I expect that the relations between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Senate of the Italian Republic will only strengthen," the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine emphasized, thanking for the decision of the Italian Senate to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
In conclusion, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the decision of his colleague to participate in the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform and invited him to pay a working visit to Ukraine.
