The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the President and the Secretary General of the OSCE PA

During his working visit to Ireland, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Pia Kauma and the Secretary General of the OSCE Roberto Montella.

The parties discussed a number of issues, including support for international efforts to bring back to Ukraine as soon as possible the Ukrainian children forcibly displaced and deported by russia, promotion of the establishment of a special international tribunal for the crime of aggression, and compensation for the damage caused by russia to Ukraine.

"The Assembly should have the right to temporarily suspend the powers of the parliamentary delegation of a state that violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another state," Ruslan Stefanchuk said in reference to the implementation of amendments to the Assembly's Rules of Procedure, emphasizing that the kremlin regime should be isolated.

In addition, during the meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted the decision to establish an Ad Hoc Committee of the Assembly to support Ukraine in the context of russian aggression against Ukraine.

"russia, which has destroyed international law, should receive a response from the institutions of international law — this is called justice," Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized.

In conclusion, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation and even more decisive steps in support of Ukraine.
