Prime Minister discusses with EBRD President investments in energy, demining and support for small and medium-sized businesses

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso.

"The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is one of Ukraine's most important partners. The EBRD's support allows us to ensure the stability of work in the field of critical infrastructure and the private sector," said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine appreciates the EBRD's commitment to invest EUR 3 billion in our country over two years.

The parties focused on the implementation of joint initiatives, particularly in the energy sector. The EBRD said that it was preparing new projects with NPC Ukrenergo and Naftogaz of Ukraine.

 Denys Shmyhal, for his part, told about promising areas for investment: the humanitarian demining market, the defence industry, mechanical engineering, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and the development of veteran entrepreneurship. He also expressed hope for the EBRD's active participation in Ukraine's recovery.
