We count on the participation of Austrian business in the humanitarian demining of our country
Ukraine is interested in Austrian business taking part in the humanitarian demining of our country. The issue was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and President of the National Council of Austria Wolfgang Sobotka and a delegation of Austrian parliamentarians.
Denys Shmyhal thanked Austria for its comprehensive humanitarian, economic and financial assistance, in particular for the prompt restoration of critical infrastructure.
"Humanitarian demining is one of the fundamental elements of reconstruction. We appreciate the assistance worth €2 million in this area," the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
The parties discussed the points of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy: from nuclear to food security. Denys Shmyhal stressed the need to give a decisive joint response to any blackmail by russia. In particular, it is important to further strengthen sanctions.
Wolfgang Sobotka, for his part, noted Austria's readiness to support Ukraine in its EU accession negotiations, as it is a matter of stability, security and joint economic development.
