The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a videoconference with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Marketa Pekarova Adamova
First of all, the parties discussed the holding of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, which will be held in late October in Prague.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to his colleague for the decision to hold this important event together.
“The summit will be another proof of the important role parliaments can play in consolidating the efforts of international partners to support Ukraine,” Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed during the conversation.
He also said that almost 50 parliaments and parliamentary assemblies have already confirmed their participation in the event.
“This is important. After all, the Summit will help to increase the effectiveness of the international response to the occupation of Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine,” said the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine, adding that it will also help to strengthen security in the Black Sea region and increase international pressure on the russian federation.
