Denys Shmyhal discusses recovery projects with Korean delegation led by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with a Korean delegation led by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong.

The Head of Ukrainian Government discussed a wide range of issues and ways to deepen bilateral cooperation with the Minister and representatives of the Korean business community. In particular, they discussed specific areas and recovery projects where the experience of Korean companies will be useful.

“Our reconstruction priorities are energy, humanitarian demining, restoration of housing and critical infrastructure, and support to business,” said Denys Shmyhal.

During the Korean delegation’s visit to Kyiv, in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine and the Republic of Korea signed an agreement on loans from the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF), which will facilitate the implementation of key projects for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the Korean government for the prompt provision of demining equipment and supplies. He also expressed gratitude for the unwavering support, including the Ukrainian President’s Peace Formula and resolutions of the UN General Assembly.
