Ruslan Stefanchuk held a conversation with the President of the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of Uruguay
For the first time in history, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a videoconference with the President of the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of Uruguay Sebastian Andujar.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine informed his Uruguayan counterpart about the security situation in Ukraine, in particular, about the horrific crimes committed by russia: daily missile attacks on peaceful cities and critical infrastructure, abductions of Ukrainian children, and the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
Therefore, Ruslan Stefanchuk called on the Uruguayan Parliament to adopt appropriate decisions to condemn the actions of the russian federation.
The parties also discussed a number of important political issues for Ukraine, including the establishment of a special tribunal to investigate crimes against Ukraine; development of an international compensation mechanism to compensate for the damage caused by russia, etc.
The interlocutors also discussed the implementation of the President Zelenskyi’s Peace Formula.
