During a working trip to Zaporizhzhia region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the frontline positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Melitopol sector.

At the command post, the Head of State listened to the report of Commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi. The President was informed about the overall operational situation in the frontline area, the dynamics of advancement in the main directions and the need for certain types of weapons.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also presented state awards to the servicemen who take part in the de-occupation of Zaporizhzhia region. The Head of State thanked the military for their service and wished them victory over the Russian invader.

"Today we have driven hundreds of kilometers, visited different locations, seen different brigades, absolutely heroic people. Different, but with the same goal - the victory of our state over the ruscists. I sincerely wish this to all of you. Unfortunately, the victory comes at such a high price," the President said.

The attendees observed a minute of silence in memory of all the heroes who gave their lives in the battles for Ukraine.
