Denys Shmyhal discusses global challenges caused by russia's war against Ukraine with Prime Minister of Bangladesh

Рrime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal had his first telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed. The parties discussed global challenges posed by russia's war against Ukraine.

Denys Shmyhal told his Bangladeshi counterpart about russia's war crimes, in particular the recent blowing up of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. 

He also stressed that Ukraine's victory was crucial for global security and called for the implementation of President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula. 

Among other things, the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Bangladesh talked about supporting important Ukrainian initiatives such as Grain from Ukraine.

"Ukraine remains one of the guarantors of the global food security, and Bangladesh has historically been one of the largest importers of Ukrainian grain. We invite Bangladesh to join this humanitarian programme," said Denys Shmyhal.

The Head of the Ukrainian Government noted that Ukraine relied on Bangladesh's proactive position in providing comprehensive assistance to our country. Denys Shmyhal thanked for the support of Ukrainian initiatives at the UN and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between our countries.
