Office of the President of Ukraine hosts a briefing for ambassadors of the Group of Seven and a number of countries on further steps to implement the Peace Formula

On the instructions of the President of Ukraine, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak met with ambassadors of the Group of Seven (G7) countries, the European Union, as well as Brazil, Denmark, India, China, South Africa, and Türkiye.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss further steps in the context of implementing Ukraine's initiatives to restore sustainable and just peace based on respect for the UN Charter and international law.

Andriy Yermak informed the diplomats about the results of our country's interaction with a wide range of foreign partners on the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula. The important role of the G7 Summit in Hiroshima (May 19-21, 2023) was noted, on the sidelines of which the Head of State met with leaders of countries and regional organizations representing the interests of the Global South.

The Head of the President's Office emphasized that the Ukrainian Peace Formula is currently the only peace plan supported by the United Nations.

"Each point of the Peace Formula is based on the UN Charter and international law," said Andriy Yermak.

He also emphasized that it is the Ukrainian peace plan that should be taken as a basis, as the war takes place on our territory.

The Head of the President's Office noted that the Ukrainian Peace Formula is universal in nature and can be used not only to end Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, but also to overcome existing or prevent new crises in the world.

"The key goal for Ukraine is to end the war, restore sovereignty and territorial integrity. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would like to do this in a completely new, transparent way with the involvement of the widest possible range of responsible countries," emphasized Andriy Yermak.

In this context, he emphasized Ukraine's openness to continuing the dialogue with its partners.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on further practical steps to implement the Ukrainian Peace Formula and ways to consolidate international support for Ukraine's efforts to restore peace.
