The First Vice Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko met with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie
During his working visit to the French Republic, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko met with Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie Bruno Fuchs.
The parties discussed future cooperation in detail.
“Already in July, at the next Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, we expect a decision to accept Ukraine as an observer,” said the First Vice Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko.
He noted that the common tasks include the development of French culture and language, as well as the fight against russian narratives in the countries of the Global South.
In conclusion, Bruno Fuchs, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, and Oleksandr Korniienko, the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, agreed to meet in Ukraine with colleagues from French-speaking countries, in particular, Africa and Latin America.
