Prime Minister of Ukraine and UK Defence Secretary inspect training of Ukrainian military

During a working visit to the United Kingdom, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, together with First Lady Olena Zelenska and Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace, visited a military base where Ukrainian service members were undergoing training.

Denys Shmyhal and Ben Wallace coordinated the steps necessary for Ukraine’s counter-offensive and further strengthening of our country’s defence capabilities.

“We are systematically moving in this direction. The Ukrainian Army is mastering NATO standards in practice. On the training ground with experienced instructors and on the battlefield in the fight against the enemy,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

The Head of Ukrainian Government thanked the United Kingdom for launching Operation Interflex to train the Ukrainian military with the participation of nine partner countries. Nearly 15,000 Ukrainian defenders have already been trained as part of the operation.

Denys Shmyhal also spoke to the Ukrainian service members. He thanked them for their service to the country and wished them perseverance, strength of spirit and the will to fight for Ukraine’s victory.
