Prime Minister of Ukraine and UK Foreign Secretary discuss preparations for Recovery Conference in London
During a working visit to London, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with James Cleverly, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.
The parties discussed preparations for the next Ukraine Recovery Conference to be held in London this year.
“Ukraine intends to focus on three areas: rapid recovery, involvement of the private sector in Ukraine’s recovery and development, and implementation of reforms. We are counting on the keen interest of British companies and concrete agreements,” the Head of Ukrainian Government said.
Denys Shmyhal and James Cleverly also discussed the issue of increasing support to Ukraine in various areas, including the defence sector. The Ukrainian Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine looked forward to the UK’s support at the forthcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius.
“The Ukrainian Army is mastering the Alliance’s standards in practice and, after the victory, is ready to share its successful combat experience with allies,” Denys Shmyhal said.
The Head of Ukrainian Government thanked the United Kingdom for its leadership in providing comprehensive support to Ukraine.
